Add Screenshots

You can contribute to Vigster by adding screenshots of your favourite games. Some guides are posted below on how to take a screenshot for those who dont know how to do this.

To add a screenshot to a particular game, simply go to the homepage for that game and click on the "Add screenshots" button, this will enable you to upload your screenshots.

How to take a screenshot of your video games

This guide will take roughly 6 mins and it has a easy difficulty level. It is aimed at those playing video games on a PC (PC Users)

Here's the guide:

• Start your favorite graphics program or editor (e.g. Ms paint, Photoshop, Coreldraw or GIMP).
• Once your graphics program is running, proceed to launch your game.
• Begin playing your game.
• When you reach a stage in the game or get to a scene when you want to capture a shot press the PRTSCN (Print Screen) button. This button is usually near the scroll lock.
• Use the ALT - TAB command to switch to your graphics program.
• Press CTRL - V at the same time to paste your screenshot into your graphics program.
• You know have a screenshot of your game. Please make sure to save it under a file name and directory you will remember.
• Quite often screenshots are very large, it is useful to resize the screenshot. This will reduce the file size depending on the amount of resizing you do.

Other Notes:

• Save the screenshot under a file name and directory you will remember.
• Resize your screenshot. This is especially important if you are going to email or upload your file.
• Mac Users - Press [Apple] + [Shift] + [3] to take a screenshot in PICT format. This will save the picture automatically for you under the hard drive.
• There are various software and tools on the internet that allows you to capture screenshots, gameplay videos etc.
