Critically acclaimed video game Spore recently reached a landmark, the creation by users of 100 million spore creations since its launch in June, 2008. According to EA a average of over 306,000 user creations are uploaded daily with each of the creations representing a variety of unique creations of 31,017,761. The creations available on spore contain more than 19 times the number of species known to man.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Ghostbusters the movie and to celebrate this event Atari has teamed up with Terminal Reality to bring you Ghostbusters: The Video game. This game will feature a completely new storyline and be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PS2, Wii and the DS.
The game takes place in New York City two years after the events in the movie Ghostbusters II. The game’s story line was actually written by Dan Aykrod and Harold Ramis who also wrote both of the Ghostbuster movie storylines. To give the game an authentic feel the original movie actors, Dan Aykrod, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis have all lent their voices to their characters in game. Watching the antics, and hearing the actors voices brings you back to the movie providing a very enjoyable game play experience.
The game’s trailer shows our favorite Ghostbusters doing what they do best. You’ll see the big puff marshmallow man throwing cars, our heroes driving around in the Ecto-1 and much more. The game mirrors the original movies and may be the first game based off a movie that is actually worth buying.
