Monster Hunter Freed from online play
What can I say. It's Monster Hunter.
Well actually its Monster Hunter G, because unlike the PS2 version, it has a new set of harder G-Rank missions. And that also includes new items and new weapons and equipment that can be made with said items.
But what it's not is it's not Monster Hunter 2, what with it's non-chargable Great Swords, and lack of ***y Gunlance action...
But I still love this version. The simplicity is so relaxing. In Monster Hunter 2, even the old monsters were given small tweaks that made them into even bigger jerks... but back in this game, their actions were oh-so-readably telegraphed, and they were oh-so-killable by the right elemental weapons.
Yeah, those were the good old days. But there's no way I'd give up the new additions to go back. If I was writing this before Monster Hunter 2, then I'd recommend buying this game. But since I'm not, I'll tell you to buy Monster Hunter 2 instead, because it's basically this game, but better.
And with Monster Hunter 2G, it includes all the stuff from this game anyways.
